Dr. Steve Yacovelli has dedicated over 25 years to leadership, change management, and diversity and inclusion consulting. Throughout his career, he has witnessed individuals thrive through strong leadership skills while others struggle due to a lack of effective development. Steve's true passion lies in helping all leaders grow, through his powerful one on one coaching, training, and ongoing support.
On this episode, Steve shares how early on in his career, he recognized a gap in structured leadership development specifically for LGBTQ+ professionals. He often experienced that existing efforts were severely fragmented. Although sporadic conference sessions, webinars, and university programs existed, they were without a unified, programmatic approach.
This realization led to the creation of The Gay Leadership Dude®, a platform designed to cultivate and empower LGBTQ+ leaders and allies around the globe. Steve’s mission is to provide a consistent, intentional, and impactful approach to leadership development, fostering a new generation of leaders within the LGBTQ+ community.
In today’s deeply troubling climate where the LGBTQ+ community faces increasing adversity, Steve provides a safe and empowering space for leaders to grow, thrive, and inspire change. Most importantly, he equips LGBTQ+ professionals and allies with the tools, confidence, and support needed to lead us into a more inclusive and equitable future.
